Technical doesnt accelerate in a straight line??

only reason i said ball joints is i had a similar problem on a 5 gt turbo. amazing how gradually these things can build up and its only when you get them replaced you realise how bad they were

Even with my Driving and Random Pull Left Right, My tyres last forever and wear evenly.

I've noticed that sometimes the street has a major part in where the wheel will go.

Streets damaged by heavy goods vehicles which leave an uneven set of long dips in the ground can send you all over the place under braking and acceleration.

reminds custard he needs a new front tyre. isnt it funny how the last few mm of tread just 'goes' on some tyres and lasts ages on others??

Hey there, if your car is pulling to the right then your tracking is out, it needs to be 4 wheel alligned as i can do this as i work in a garage its easy but however it can be expensive, depending on who you know! The tracking is down to the track rod ends needing adjustment, this can also affect the camber and caster on all 4 wheels, best leave it to the pros as its not a diy job! but thats why your car is pulling!

Shouldn't affect the camber on a mcpherson strut should it? I would agree on it being a job for people with the correct tools though. One of them light bouncing jobbies probably doesn't come cheep.

well im sure the fact that my passenger side lower arm rear bush has about 5mm of give doesnt help matters much

will get that sorted at some point..

are they easy to swap? not just the bush, the whole arm

Lower arms arnt really that bad to do m8, but ive never done a tipo so im not sure, it all depends if the bolts want to play ball! if they dont then your in all types of **** trying to get them out, if they do get stuck then use a gas welder to heat them up and then twist them out. Can be frustrating though! :bang:

wishbones are easy to sort on a tipo.but give the bolts a bit of a soak first.

Bloody Hell! Once you get them bolts undone that arms going to fall off!

You really need to get a wire brush on them. Get rid of all the rust then cover them in oil. Not WD40. Real oil. Let that soak overnight and then try moving them. If they dont budge get the blowtorch on them and more oil. You may need to loosen the anti-roll bar in order to get the new arm in as the rubbers will have almost no flex in them as new.

The other hard job will be opening the clamp bolt on the hub carrier. Undo the bolt then hammer a cold chisel into the gap to slowly prise the clamp open. Loads of oil and a bit of hammering and you'll get the arm out of the hub carrier.

Any other questions just ask as I have done the arms on 2 tipo's quite recently.

first check tyre pressures, must be equal this is the most common reason.

2 tyre tread.

3 wheel alignment

4 worn wishbones

5 binding brakes.

it usually the simple things that cause this

The wishbones can be utter utter b*****ds to do if the bolts won't come off - mine were so bad I actually had to grind the heads off the bolts and lever the little f****rs out! Not something you want to do if you can avoid it, believe me!

Especially since they are high tensile metric fine... Cost around £4 or £5 each and you need 8 of them!

Mine really tried to resist but lots of oiling and heating and oiling and heating and they eventually gave up.
