Jim!

Welcome to the forum. Ifound it when looking up a dadgy clutch and I've been here ever since. You will find that you will do the same, afetr all, you bought a FIAT. U fix one thing and another goes wrong.

F - Fix
I - It
A - Again
T - Tomorrow

The knowledge on here though is fantastic. A lot is also kept on the bravo guide for the stuff that most people will use. Check out the link on the top of the forum.

Jim

When you find out what the problem is, let us know please, so we can all benefit from your experience!

So many times you never hear what the solution was.

Some garages can do a gas test.it a blue liquid in a bottle that sits on the expantion tank.you start up the engine and run, if the liquid turns yellow exhuast gas is present eg head gasket gone.
As mention prob air or stat

Cheers,

I'll definitely post what the problem was when (if) I sort it.

I'll try bleeding it this weekend. If not that, hopefully it is just the stat and I reckon I can change that - so thanks for those picks Tom! Otherwise I think it'll be the joys of public transport for a bit longer!

Jim.
