Hi, Just joined having bought a 2013 Panda Easy. Reviews said that the back seat could slide forward, creating very limited legroom in the back for passengers... but a bigger boot space. As the Panda is primarily a dog taxi I am keen to know if I can slide the backseat or not! Admittedly it's been pouring with rain since I bought the car so haven't had much time to explore, but the seat is looking very 'fixed' to me. My large-ish dog that is refusing to occupy the space with the seat folded down as it doesn't go flat and is sitting crammed in the small space with the backseat in its normal position... have a horrible feeling I may have just bought myself a problem!! Any advice please?

Get a loop to attach to dog's harness and put seatbelt through. Dog securely fastened in on back seat. (y)

DartmoorDiva The sliding seat was not standard on any Panda, but was an expensive option. If you have it, the seat back will fold down in two equal parts, and on the front edge of the seat are the release levers to slide and tilt the seat. If you have a one-piece seat back, or a 60/40 split, then you don’t have a sliding rear seat.
(Interestingly, my 2017 print of the handbook makes no mention of the sliding seat option at all, so I wonder if it was dropped for later models?)

I regularly transport 3 labradors in my Panda Cross.
The 2 old ones on the back seat, each in a harness attached to the seat belt. The young one goes in the back, he either sleeps or looks at the cars behind us :).

Note I did remove the cover of the boot.
