As above, Now I'm "pimping" my sound system a little, the weak point is the speakers in the front doors. Not the speakers themselves, they are a fairly good quality Pioneer aftermarket ones. But I think that to perform best they need a solid base to pump the bass, which they're just not getting at the moment.
Does the sound deadening stuff work or is it a con?

It works VERY well. My brother has an ex sound-off (i suppose that's what you'd call it) Calibra turbo. he's got 2x 15" subs in the boot powered by 2 amps, plus components up front. fully dynamatted... can't hear any of it outside the car.

So i'd say it works pretty damn well. I'll ask him who did the car when i see him next.

The £10 kits will do somehwat better but its better to plaster the whole door in the stuff basically will provide better results but it costs and there are better alternatives to dynamat that isnt as expensive.

Second Skin is really good VFM IMO. Stay away from stuff like eDead, FatMat etc - may as well use flashing tape.

Always worth deadening the panels - the difference is well worth the effort involved (y)
