Hiya, I'm driving to France next weekend, and I can't find a definitive answer as to whether my car needs head lamp deflectors or not. Or whether I can just adjust the headlamps in some way?

Thank you!

Model
Fiat 500 0.9 twinair
Year
2018
I've recently driven from top to bottom of france, and never had them. I did take some just in case I was bullied by plod into putting them on. But my headlights have a flat horizontal beam and are not needed. Check yours after dark against some doors. Mine is 2013, so yours is probably HID, much easier to see if they are horizontal.
Just my tuppence worth.

Why risk a 90 euro fine? It takes maybe 5 minutes to stick them on and they cost a few pounds.

I drove up a one way street outside a police station in France, got stopped by the police who checked my documents and bid me on my way. No sticky crap on my headlights, and no interest by the police, you're paranoid.

And I'll take the word of an old MOT inspector who I got many cars done with over that of some internet nobody.
You're using too many words like 'old', and 'done'. You do know we're not using candles now don't you. Headlight requirements/rules/regs regularly change. You need to keep up.

Don't feel obligated to comment on every post. Increasing post count is not a necessary forum requirement, least I don't think Ben has made it one yet.

Well, uk Fiat 500, looks like a kick to the left on both lights to me.

And the reason why i wouldn't trust internet nobodys :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Jeezz, you never learn do you.
That's the 'hot spot', that you're calling a 'kick up'.

That's a 'kickup', it still has a 'hot spot' as do most headlights.

Anyway, I'm done wasting my time with your condescending comments... there'll be no further replies. My original comment was for the OP (AEV8) to use, to help make their own decision.

Wow, that's moronic, what do you think the whole point of this debate is, the area to the left is what we are talking about as that's what blinds people when you drive in europe :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

It's not condescending if you point out that you post up idiotic nonsense and cant understand the basic question. If you dont like it then try be less stupid 😁
