Hey guys, wonder if anyone can help me.

Right, when turning right, at speed, or sharply, I get a kind of 'tick tick tick' noice coming from the drivers side wheel (I think). I'm not sure what this noise could be. Anyone got any ideas? Or anything to look out for? The brake pads aint been changed in about 10,000 miles, but to be honest, it's been mostly motorway driving if it makes a diffrence, and they seem totaly fine. Any idead?

Thanks!

Go easy, I'm not too mechanically minded.

I've got a 1.2 51 Reg, 43k

arch liner catching maybe?

sound to me like your cv joints are on the way out/is the clickin coming from driver side?

just slide of gator and pack with grease/ that stops the clunking noise

the longer you leave it the worse it will get

It's from the drivers side yep.
Balls :( Just when things where going well, any ideas on prices? Or checks to make sure this is the problem? Is it likely that the wheel will fall off if I don't get it replaced soon?

Thanks guys.

same happend to mine on hgt

the grease sorted it out, mine was seriously clunking but now gone.

i did look into new cv joint, fiat quoted 87 quid for part(hgt)

a local part dealer quoted 42 quid(hgt)

just show you have to ring about

Where exatly would I need to greese? Would good old Haynesy show me how it's done?

Gary

right here we go/this should take about 5 mins

1st turn wheel full lock to right

2nd jack up car so wheel is off the ground

3rd pop ur head under and you will see black rubber gator on drive shaft(close to back of brake disc)

4th slip the widest part of gator back to reveal cv joint (bearings).and pack with grease be very generous with it apply grease and turn wheel apply grease and turn wheel apply grease and turn wheel apply grease and turn wheel

5th slip gator back on and lower jack and off you go with hopefully a smooth ride

its worth 5 mins and a couple of quid of grease, rather then £47+fitting

Cheers man, I'll give that a go when I've got a minute! If that don't work I'll get the wheel out and make sure there is nothing out of place. Anything else to look out for? Would it not be advised to get this part from scrappy? Moneys tight right now :(
