Windscreen washer on my Doblo cargo is always bunged up, garage has put a new motor on it and flushed it out but still it bungs up, not been able to use it for ages! Had a quick look underneath myself but cant even see where the pump is, or where the pipes come out of the reservoir, was hoping i could disconnect pipes etc and give it a flush myself, especially as I'm hoping to sell it soon. Anyone got any suggestions of how to go about getting washer system cleared out? Cheers gang! :bang::):)

How have they modified the washers then? My '03 model has brilliant jets that always hit the screen in the right place (no Villa d'Este's over the roof) ans haven't bunged up in four and a half years. A pin and careful adjustment have always sorted me in the past, with every car I've had.

Cheers guys for the replies, dont think its the jets that are bunged up, as nothing comes out at all. The guy at the garage said when they cleaned it out it was full of some smelly jelly like gunge... god only knows what the owner before me put in there! Think thats what did for the original motor as trying to get it to clear burned out the motor. Having had a quick shufty on my back tho i cant seem to see any pipes or anything accessible. From my dealings with the doblo tho it seems that Fiat hid everything you might want to touch or gain access to! Gonna have a good go at it tomorrow before putting it up for sale, fingers crossed it is just the jets!

Has yours got the the 3 jets on each washer, with a sort of cylinder that push fits from the side?

Three jets, certainly. As for the fitting - I'm afraid I've never looked. I'll take a look tomorrow if I remember.

In my experience all screen wash additives go slightly jelly ish. If it could be that, try putting a hose down the neck of the washer bottle and see if you can float the rubbish out, then fill and try again.

Mine has the triple jet with the plastic bit at the side - when that starts to work its way out the jets don't work.

Never pour washing up liquid into the bottle, if you feel the need to use it, dissolve it in hot water first, leave to cool then add.
Proper screenwash is also best added ready mixed.

Gave it a good flush out with hose yesterday, detached hose on bonnet leading to jets, blew down it and bubbles came up thru washer bottle, so I sucked and water came thru but still no water thru jets when I try to activate it... looks like pump is gone again or hopefully the fuse has blown! Gotta check that! Anyone know where the pump actually is coz try as I might I cant find the flippin thing!

Go under the bonnet disconnect and clean out the gunge that will be there with some thin wire. ie fuse wire. be prepared to do this a few times including the jets if they are still not working. watch that you don't move them as it will spray lower or higher if you do.:)

Just a guess but no doubt it'll be one of those pumps that clip to the bottom of the tank - usually on the inside wall so to get at it you generally have to take out the engine, tip the car completely upside-down & employ the services of a contortionist. :D

Never, ever, use washing up liquid. It has salt in it which will take the gloss off the paint and assist in rust formation on vulnerable spots.
I always use Halfords apple smelly stuff - lovely waft of freshness every time I wipe the glass, which is very often indeed - and it doesn't freeze!

got on my back the other day and looked at bottom of reservoir, couldnt see anything that looked like a pump! i'll whip the engine out this afters if it stops raining... I used to have a fiat 127 many years ago, and the Haynes manual for that began every section with "this operation is best performed with the engine removed from the car"!!! seems Fiat havent changed their policy on this!
