So, lets begin, I purchased my 2007 Doblo and I am having a total nightmare with the front brakes, since they were old and I have basically rebuilt the engine and all the front suspension I decided to replace the front brakes as well, now, the first set of callipers, discs and pads I ordered I used the reg to order and they arrived and they were for 257mm brakes, turns out, I have 284mm brakes fitted, urrghhhh had a look, no-one stocks new or used 257mm carriers, fine, returned them all and ordered what I thought was the 284mm items, they have arrived and they don't bloody fit, I have checked the OEM numbers on ePER and apparently they are for a 2005-> Doblo, so why the hell do they not fit the carrier and when I add 4mm shims into the carrier to space it out so they fit over the discs do they then catch the wheel, I would need to add 4mm spacers to get the wheel to clear the brakes, bare in mind, all of the part numbers I have off the parts I have ordered say they fit a 2005-> Doblo 1.4 8v.

I called Fiat to check part numbers "oh, that's a commercial vehicle, we don't have access to that catalogue" its an MPV, so I have to call the local commercial vehicle specialist

Has anyone else had this issue with their Doblo, apparently, according to ePER, Fiat revised the brakes in 2010, does this mean they changed the design so the old carriers now don't work with the new callipers and disc's???

Around 2010 the later Doblo came out. I think the 2010 onwards were five stud wheels also.
Have you checked to see if the Doblo 1.9 Cargo diesel van was more like what you needed heavy duty wise?
This listing is for 284mm front discs.:- eBay item number:335500963328

Well, after a very lengthy conversation with Motus the local Fiat Commercial, turns out that Fiat changed the design in 2010 for the new version and superseded the original design with the new ones, turns out my current issue is my own fault, I have ordered the wrong discs, ordered the right ones now so fingers crossed all will be good. Turns out there is about 30 different specs of 284mm brakes on fiats over the years.
