**NEWBIE** Doblo Cargo 1.9jtd SX which gearbox

Hi Everynone, Im new on here and need some help...........

I was given a 2004 Doblo Cargo 1.9jtd SX which is in very good condition inside and out, but has an issue with the gearbox?

I can only use gears 1 and 2 and it will not shift into any other gear, the previous owner replaced the cables and i have just repolaced the gearstick as this had previously been welded so thought it best to do anyway.

Still cannot get it into any other gear.........I want to replace the gearbox as its worthwhile given it didnt cost me anything and i can use, the issue is i dont know which gearbox to buy? can somebody help me?

My model code is a 223 3131

Will the gearstick move left to right, side to side.??
There is a pivot linkage in an alloy housing on top of gearbox that seizes up.

Hi John, and welcome to FF,

I don't see it's a serious internal g-box issue,
as pointed out, there are often other - external- parts that can wear / seize,

Yes gearstick moves left to right but won't go into 3rd, 4th, 5th or reverse. I have checked all the linkages and cannot see anything so gathered it was internal.
