1.2 16v. New headgasket which wqs blown headskimmed and all tested lovely.

When started with rad cap off coolant is literally pouring out like a hose.

Engines running lovely now which is such a shame.

Gotta be the block, unless anyone knows of anything else?

Radiator. You can either leave cap on and after a while is slowly comes out the cap or take cap off and it comes out like it's being pumped with bubblws in.

What makes you think the block is cracked then? Sounds to me like the radiator is clogged, as if it's been run for a while with just water instead of coolant and rusted the channels.

Welcome to the forum btw :) What car is this on?

Why would the rad being clogged cause it?

Cheers 1.2 16v 2000 punto.

I'll take the rad off and completely flush it through. But as soon as it's started and revved it just starts pumping out the top. Put cap on and it fills with air.

Cooling system free of blockages.

All seems fine other than when you switch the engine off and remove the cap it forces coolant out and the level is high. If you run it for ages with cap on it pushes out eventually.
