Radio codes not needed these days, radio is keyed to the body computer, so can be removed, replaced with aftermarket, then put back in years later and will work. It wont work with any other car though, unless a dealer visit keys it to the new car, which should need evidence. Supposed to prevent theft, but will the thief know this?
If the radio gives up, any replacement wont work until told to by the dealer diagnostic system. Might be able to do it with FiatECUScan, but not sure.

I just unplugged my battery for 30 minutes because I read on here that it may sort out the flashing mileage and the non-working blue and me. Now it's asking me for a radio code  :(

:yeahthat: When i bought mine there was a little card with the code written on it in the blue handbook thing :)

No I've just looked though all my manuals/books. And there's nothing. I only bought the car yesterday and I have 3 months warranty. I didn't buy it from an actual Fiat Dealer though. Do you think they can still help?

Looks like original owner has kept it safe, like suggested, then forgotten it when trading the car in.
1. Ask your supplying dealer for it.
2. Ask your supplying garage to fix the fault, forget to mention that you've tried to fix anything, so they cannot escape. They may need to send it to a Fiat garage at their expense.
3. Look at the registration document, see if you can contact the previous/original owner. If you've not got this detail, your garage will have this recorded, ask them to contact the last owner, while you wait! It is up to them to ensure that the vehicle has all its bits.
4. Ask your nearest Fiat dealer if they can supply a replacement card. If there is a cost, ask your garage to meet this.

This thread is handy, if you can get your stereo out (you'll need removal keys, £3 at halfrauds, post the details written on the back of it and someone will get back to you with the code https://www.fiatforum.com/i-c-e/85204-one-only-code-fiat-radio-thread-83.html

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'm going to contact the garage I bought it from tomorrow and see if they can do anything about it. I do think i'm more than likely going to have to take my radio out to get the serial. The worst thing is that I didn't even manage to fix the original problem :)

I have the same dilemma and if nothing else this thread proves that most answers from "experts" will fail sometimes but my van starting is more important to me than listening to James O'Brian calling me a moron

My 2007 scud van didn't request a radio code luckily. I found the code as it happened and wrote it on the new battery with a sharpie!

I connected light duty "memory saver" leads between a spare 12v battery and the main battery leads on our 2010 1.2 Panda as I wanted to disconnect the main leads to avoid the starter being able to kick the engine over while I was doing the cam belt. I then managed to knock one of the connecting crocodile clips off as I was refitting the cam cover. I wanted to ensure I didn't mess up the sealant beads I'd put in the corners so I just kept going. Probably about 5 minutes later I reconnected the clip in the hope that I wouldn't loose the radio as I don't have the code.

The radio worked fine after I'd finished so I guess mine is one of the ones with the code stored in the body module? Unless there is some capacitive storage somewhere which leaks down slowly over time - the power was only briefly interrupted on mine, maybe even less than the 5 minutes I stated above.
