General Distance until Service & "See Radio"

Morning all

Noticed two new things in my menu whilst changing the clock, a distance-until-service indicator (shame it doesn't flash this up with the ignition mind) and a "see radio" option - no idea what that does.

Don't remember them being there before, not to sure if recent service included a software update or if the Ecodrive update added them?

Yup, they've always been there.

The 'see radio' option when on shows the radio station on the dash, where it usually shows the date.

yeah there's a few decent little things tucked away in there. During a moment when I was fiddling about in the menu and didn't realise until today that I turned on the auto lock door system that kicks in when you go over 20Kmh.

Im sure my distance to next service is reading more than the actual service interval for the car ?!

Jake, after my last service the counter was reset to 18000 miles and counts down from that.

Apparently, when you get to within 2000km of the service being due, this does flash up when you start the car??

I think this feature has been in the standard Fiat menu since the Stilo.

Didn't for mine. The service light just came on and "service now" or similar displayed.

I'll need to have a look at the manual again, after all it is one of the sections where it looks like it's been written via google translate! I've probably misunderstood it!

You've got a diesel though and that monitors its own oil quality.

My service interval reading says 6,000 odd miles ...... odd considering I had a service at 10,000 miles and am now only 11,500 miles....perhaps they didn't reset it?

It comes up in the menu system if you scroll through the options.

no but if you press the menu button and then the + symbol it will take you to 'autoclose' i think and then go into there to turn it on or off.
