Does anyone know how or if the warning beep can be disconnected on a multipla for ABS warning. I have had it diagnosed and the ABS is fine, I was told the problem could be with the control sensor - which has been quoted as costing £900 + vat to replace. The auto electrician has said it won't effect the performance of the car if not replaced, but it is REALLY irritating when it keeps sounding. No problems came up on the diagnostic. I can't afford the cost of a replacement and wondered if anyone else had been able to stop the bleeping.

I believe that the ABS and airbag warnings cannot be cleared using standard OBDII diagnostic testers, they require the advanced diagnostic tools. However, this only clears a fault - if it re-occurs because the problem still exists then you're back to square one.

I'd check all electrical connections and clean them up first to see if this resolves the problem
