You can also download the free verion at www.multiecuscan.net and "play" without an interface or car connected. Just click "Simulate" instead of connect. For your problm look at the body computer module the switch input status is under the parameters tab and you can turn the lights on or off from the actuators tab.
Revisiting this problem 4 years on. Few other little problems from the BCM presumably. Temp gauge, odo, fuel gauge. Going to go MultiECUscan route now?
Multi ECU Scan working. Able to switch lights on and off. Output working. Looking at inputs. Reading inputs Side lights showing selected on when they are selected off. Fault on the switch side. Possible switch fault.

Have you managed to fix the lights?
Were you able to reset it with the help of multiecuscan or was it a hardware fault?
Looking for clues as I've got a similar issue with the turn indicators staying on all the time.
Thanks,

I have not managed to repair this fault. Or reset it. Day time running circuitry (although not factory fitted on this age of vehicle there is provision for it) X250. Steering column headlight switch circuit. Keep me informed about the indicators. Good luck.

7 Years later fixed. Steering column headlight select switch dismantled. Rotary contact on resistor circuit board where damage, no contact with PCB. Bent these back to correct position and cleaned. Very intricate job. All OK for now.
