Morning All,
Currently in the process of getting a load of suspension-related MOT done on the car in this post:

Hit an irritating/annoying issue yesterday around the rear radius arm replacement work. Was informed the passenger side rear ABS sensor wire had effectively seized/fused into the old radius arm (will be clarifying the details when I next visit in person) and it had to be forcefully removed. Basically, they had a lot of trouble removing the old radius arm (bolt had seized in, etc....), and had to take an angle grinder to it.
Basically, I now need to replace the passenger side rear ABS sensor. Sounds simple, doesn't it? It would be, if the part was easily available. Had a long chat with Shop4Parts yesterday. The bloke I spoke to came across as really sound, and sounded very regretful when he told me he couldn't obtain the sensor from his usual after market suppliers, and Fiat now only keep the front ABS sensors in stock. They class the rear sensors as obsolete, and don't have any available in the UK. He suggested I try 247 Spares. I have done so, along with the other usual scrapyard site suspects. No quotes yet. I've also searched Ebay, and found nothing.
Fortunately, I think I've managed to find the right sensor from another online supplier, whose details I'll post later if they DO send the right sensor (they sent the WRONG rear radius arm last time, so I don't want to set my hopes too high yet). I'd like to try to get a backup plan in place though.
Was wondering if any of you Guys have found a reliable supplier of car electronics components for older Fiats, or a specialist Fiat Breaker who keeps these components and cleans/reconditions them.....?
Ultimately, if the sensor I'm expecting to arrive tomorrow isn't the right one, and I can't source the correct one quickly, I'm probably going to end up having to scrap the car or sell it for spares. Insurance and Road Tax are due this month, so there's a real time pressure component here. It would be a sickener, as most of the MOT-related work has been done already. To think that an ABS sensor could prove to be my undoing is a real kick in the balls..........
