Hi i am thinking of buying a diesel marea weekend anybody help on common problems cambelt changes, turbo etc, i dont want the 75 but it would be nice to have air con.mY Punto is getting a bit small now

Hi shaun, ive got a weekend 125td hlx. Good car generally, but timing belt cost £320 at a dealer to do.Air con condensor packed in £200 for a new one cant get one elsewhere. haven't got round to doing it yet. Also loses power on motorways but im gonna try disconnecting the air mass meter to see if it cures it

Experience I've had with my TD125...

Check the boot release catch works properly - they can sieze up. Make sure it locks and unlocks then try again.

Also, it seems that the rear wipers pack up fairly often. Mine is knackered and I've been unable to find a cheap replacement anywhere.

Thanks for the replies, since i posted that i have bought a 1.6 sx petrol weekend because the diesels were a bit thin on the ground for my price range. Thanks again anyway
