Diesel JTD Problems

Hi,
My y reg fiat bravo, had it for 4 weeks. Previous own never serviced it at all in 33,000miles. I've put it into fiat for a major service and its come out and its playing up.....

Driving along, go to accelerate and the car doesn't go anywhere even with pedal to the floor. Then it might go or it will just sit at 2200rpm.....

Any ideas???? Cheers

Disconnect the battery for half-an-hour, re-connect it, then give it a thrash for 20mins or so . Only do this if you have th stereo code!
