Technical Diesel HGT. Computer keeps resetting

Hi,
I have a 54 plate diesel HGT which is fine throughout. For some reason though the computer is resetting itself each time I turn the ignition on. Was fine until yesterday. It zero's everything except of course the total mileage, same as if I had just filled up and set the trip back to zero.
Any ideas gratefully considered!!

what MEP said, ours does this from time to time especially when left a while in this cold weather.

And/or poor earths.

Get the battery tested (for free) at a freindly local motor factor.

To see if the earths are the problem, run a single jump lead from battery negative to a solid metal part of the engine, then try to start. If the earths were the problem, the computer shouldn't re-set with the jump lead in place.
