Diesel Engine question

I've just been given an old Turbo Diesel Corsa, but he engine really does sound liek a tractor. . .


is there anythign that i can do to cure this or is that why it was given to me! lol!

lol Nige.

Probably an injector or something has gone up the wall. Injector-rebuilds cost around £200 for all 4 I believe? this may sort your problem out, but also on the otherhand may not.

its runss fine, doesnt seem low on power or anything, its just noisy!


prob just cos its the first diesel thing i've ever owned apart froma tractor, lol.

Same here, my Bravo doesn't really have any loss of power, but I've got an injector problem, which makes it sound pretty much like a tractor. There's probably power loss in the lower rev range (

its only a corsa so i dont mind killing it lol!

Nah not really. God knows how long this Bravo has been like this for.

I bought it withe the injector problem at 72k miles. It's now got 81k just 3 months later.

Just give it a good thrashing it may clear the injector, and try some of that diesel injector fuel.
