My dealer has four 1.4 Sports as courtesy cars but I always seem to end up with a Clio as everyone wants them, especially the Renault and Peugeot customers whose cars are in for servicing/repair.![]()
Well this sucks... Part still not arrived, not "scheduled" to be fitted until Thursday anyway.
That's 1 week's ownership = 1 day driving, at the best.
Anybody who thinks that's reasonable might as well write "welcome" on their back.
Up to which point can a new car be rejected?

Ditto. You've got a loan car; it will be sorted before too long; stop getting stressed.
They have to have three goes at fixing it before you can reject it; but what you are in danger of doing is making the dealer hate you for being so unreasonable, when all they are doing is trying to fix it for you.
A sense of proportion would be useful here.

I had my car for 1.5 days, then I didn't get it back for 5 days .... I didn't mind as I knew it was coming back eventually - try to chill out a bit, I know it must be hard as you have been anticipating your new car for ages, but it will be okay in the end.
EDIT : have no idea why I put "3 days" in an earlier post - I got it on the sat lunchtime and it went back to the dealer on the monday morning! Blonde moment!
Thats good, at least they're trying![]()
Jim, I think if you go on giving them earache when they've given you a courtesy car you run the risk of alienating them. If it were me I'd be happy just to have a courtesy car....as a result of me giving them some ear-ache down the phone. They didn't exactly offer it under their own initiative, unfortunately. I told them that we wanted a 500 as a courtesy car, as that's what we paid for, and we have yet to keep.
