General dial backlight issue.

Something i noticed when i first got the car and have forgotten about since.
Basically the guages and dials are blue backlit,however the speedo needle isnt,driving at night you cant see the needle atall and i have to rely on satnav for my speed.Should the needle be lit?If so,how do i go about putting a new LED in.

the LED kits dont really light up the needle, mine was the same but i did get abit of light down it, first thing would probably to check the led works

The cinq dash is retained by 5 hex screws (3 obvious, 1 each side of the clock behind little rectangular blanks)

Bulbs can be accessed by pulling the dash slightly forward.........
