Folks Need Help Urgently,

Sorry about this folks but in a bit of a bind.
Recently bought 99 Seicento S.
Have just bought a load of new parts from Autodoc to have a go at replacing some which I think have been on car since new especially the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter. There is a constant high pitched noise from pump so reckon it needs to be changed.
However today I thought I'd change the Fuel Filter which from YouTube videos looked pretty straightforward even for a novice wannabe car potterer like me.
Not so.
I really struggled to disconnect both end connections. I have eventually got the connection from the tank to filter off with a lot of persuasion but damned if I can get the other connection from filter to engine off. It seems to have some kind of lock mechanism holding it on. I tried to prise it off with a flat head screwdriver but the filter end snapped off with the top of it still stuck in the fuel line to engine. Anyone know how to release the clamp so I can get the broken piece out and try and get the new one in. Not a good start 😔😔

Got it. Couple of small nose pliers one to spring the white locking tab and the other to prize broken end of old filter out. Got engine side line connector on to the other end of the new filter and heard the required click which was a lovely sound. Turned on the engine. Didn't blow up 😜😜 so think it's done and OK. Next is the fuel pump replacement. Can't wait.....
