Garage had no translation for two of the diagnostic code.
Can anyone recommend a site or translate the codes please?

codes; 1687 and 1220.

cheers for any help.

Jamie.

Thanks Greggers.

Any ideas on the severity of such problems,(cash wise)? :chin:

Jamie.

I'm afraid not. Hopefully one of the Fiat Techs can give you a guide price though... I guess it's a new throttle pedal assembly? Maybe more?

Ah! I see someone already has :)

You want fault codes ..then its fault codes you get..the whole blooming lot..put it in your favourites for further reference..

I came across that code list a while ago but unfortunately it's not much use for Fiats.

The generic codes (P0XXX) are useful because they are common to all manufacturers, but the manufacturer specific codes (P1XXX etc.) are different for most manufacturers and this list does not cover Fiat.

As an example, of the 2 codes in Jamie's original post, P1220 doesn't exist on this list and P1687 is listed as an Automatic Transmission fault.

If you do need a new ECU you could see if

injection correction (I'm not allowed to post the URL yet)
takes you to bluestreak they own Intermotor

can repair your own for you, you may still need a fiat
garage to use examiner on your car to get the canbus
comunicating with it again. I used to get a reasonable
discount on their retail price too at one time.

Cheers John
