my phone works on my fiat for good results on live sensor data and dtc codes

id need to check but im sure its just the iso protocol

if you buy an elm327 interface from amazon or similar for under £15
download a free app called torque lite that you can buy the full version for under a fiver

connect elm327 to car
connect elm to android smartphone via bluetooth
and voila
easy user friendly cheap and cheerful info to get you by.

Does anyone else have any experience with this device? My son got one for Christmas and it seems to work in his Punto with Torque Pro application on Android phone. I tried it in my wife's Multipla today and got error message in Torque Pro that either adaptor is faulty or ignition not on. I could do with it working as I have a fault on the car and want to read the code (there is one logged as light is on on dashboard). Car is 2000W 1.6.

I'll try it in my Alfa tomorrow.

Thanks,

What year is the multipla? Its not an entirely universal standard and older cars won't work with the new adaptors.

Multi is a 2000/W. Device didn't work in my (older) Alfa either, however it no longer seems to work in the Punto, so I think it's faulty.
