Technical Detachable towbar...

Hi, I am restoring my 2002 Multipla 1,6 and now it's time to get my detachable towbar detachable again.
It's always been stuck so I am not quite sure how it is removed.
First i have to get it to loosen up a bit. And then:
You push the red handles as the arrow indicates and then push the other handle but what next?
Can you pull the towbar stright out or do i twist it any direction before i pull it out?

I do not know. What I have experienced and seen over the years says these things rarely twisy and it should more or less fall out if the releasw works. I would try and ask a towbar specialist or see if you can identify and ask the maker.. Not much seems to hold these things in so check before heating or bashing!

My towbar is now detachable again
The locking 'piston' was stuck.
So i drilled a hole in the mount,threaded it and by using a screw i could push the 'piston' out.
Cleaned and oiled the 'piston' and it moves freely like it should.
Inserted a short set-screw in the mount to cover up the hole.
