Desperate help. Engine code 814027

I need an engine, code 8140.27. What other engines would fit or do I need this specific code. Fiat 2.5 diesal turbo. Left hand drive. Desperate times.....

That's the SOFIM engine, common to many, many vans.

The .27 is the 2.5 turbo version used in the Ducato, Pug J5, Citroen C25, Talbot somethingorother, Renault Messenger, Master and Iveco Daily, for starters.

I don't know if one of the other variants would be a straight swap, but I suspect so.

Pretty much everything that isn't a Ford, VW or Mercedes has used it at some point.

Did you have any luck finding an engine. I am looking for an 8140.27 also. They are rebuilding them in The Netherlands costs around £3000.
