Thats why I`ve never liked that Fiat dark blue!

For some reason its always discoloured if you dont keep on top of it, even back on 131`s & 127`s, its hard to describe, but it goes like oil on water...

YeaH CooL
BuT then WHITE cars don't show up small dints and scratches and GReaSe MarKs as much as beaten up and un-washed DarK BluE ones do :ROFLMAO:

Even up here in the North West www.lockup.garages.co.uk have been buying up garages and raisinng the rent to £50 per month by direct debit
I know because they bought one that I was already paying £35pm for and they said they were upping the rent to £50pm...so I told them to stuff it
Found another just round the corner managed by a local Surveyors that costs £96 a quarter
Still have another down near my folks in the Midlands that has cost £30pm for YonKs

When we lived in central London in the late 90's we binned our cars off

BaR-STewards.. we thought it bad enough just over ten years ago that Campden Council would issue us a Residents Parking permit for the CHeeKy fee of £80 per year....until we THEN found out they issue twice as many permits as there are residents parking spaces...AND in the small print of your permit it says you cannot leave you car in any particular residents parking bay for more than 48 hours at time...if you did they would tow it and charge you £150 to get your own car back even though it hadthe correct permit and was in a designated residents parking space.
Some of our mates in central London who still had their cars would spent 1 or 2 hours every other evening just driving around to find another empty residents parking space just to move their car to...MaDNeSS...hence we binned our cars off

I worked it out that with the money we saved on High Insurance, Road Tax, Residents Permit, the odd parking fine . . . when totalled up for a year.... we could afford to walk just up the road to Russell Square and hire a brand spanking new car from Hertz every other weekend and still save money over the cost of having our own car....

I love the series 1`s (the top one) they are pretty much an E Type saloon with better handling!, the last picture is an XJ40, the mid 80`s onwards square one like I`ve got... cept mine arent that good!

I didnt realise your garages were as bad up there, all I know is my 3 lock ups cost £30 a month in the mid 90`s & they ended up being £105 a month by the mid 2000`s, I ended up loosing the lot when I lost my job, including 3 cars(a Jag, a Senator & a custom matt black Bill Blydenstein powered Vauxhall Victor FE estate that YOU would have loved;)), 1000`s of parts & 10`s of thousands of car magazines & books going back to the 50`s.... I still am a bit gutted about that... :(

The moral is, dont hoard & rent... always hoard & own!
