Any aslong as its rust free and mechanically sound.Reds my least favourite i must say but id buy a good nick red one over a bad nick grey one.

Cheers leve.Ill be knocking him down on price as it was up for £395 only 2 weeks ago from the same seller!

Could it be that 2 weeks ago it had short MOT and now it has 12 months?

No,the blue one in cheshire had a nasty looking dent in the drivers side sill as if itd had a side on hit.The yellow one sold before i got a chance!Theres a silver one down south ive got my heart set on now its just a matter of hoping it doesnt sell before the weekend!

Only problem is it has plastic bump strips fitted down the side(means the paintworks in good nick i guess) and so the first job will be to remove them without damaging the paint.

Thanks leve,im thinking washing around it with hot water and using a hair dryer or heat gun on it and peeling off. Then any glue left can be worked off with a ( i think) caramel wheel and a drill on a very low speed.

Just done an MOT check on the car im after.History starting in 2006,passed with advisories on:Both rear tyres starting to go out of shape offside front inner wing brakepipe starting to corrode nearside front brake hose starting to perish radiator in poor condition.

2007 failed on:Nearside Front Windscreen wiper not operating over a large enough area to give an adequate view (8.2.1c)
Offside Front Windscreen wiper not operating over a large enough area to give an adequate view (8.2.1c)
Front Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (8.2.3)
Nearside Rear Stop lamp not working (1.2.1b)

And had advisories on:Slight dent in osf alloy wheel
Slight corroision on osf brake pipe
Tyres front os 6mm ns 6mm rear os 6mm ns 4mm

2008 passed with no advisories,2009 passed with advisory on front brake disks.

2010 (current mot) passed with no advisories.

I know alot depends on what mot station you take it too, only thing that worries me on that is,was the radiator replaced and the brake lines sorted or did the garage it was taken to the year after those advisories just pass over the car.

It comes with reciepts for minor stuff like:washer bottle replacement, bulbs, and a new fuel pump.

Sounds like it could be a winner.

Why not -

a) google the MOT stations named in the check and do a bit of research

b) name some on here and see if anybody knows them.

Motd at http://www.pjhodge.co.uk/ in 06,seem like a well established garage specialising in some nice machinery.

Second one is s and g services who spotted the corroding brake lines and radiator.
Then it went to bristol street, northampton, cant find alot about these but either they didnt spot the corroding parts of they have been replaced.

Then most recently to these chaps...http://www.tyresnorthampton.com/ another established place.
