Styling Debadging

ANy advice on taking off the stilo and active sport badges off my car?

They are normally stuck on and can be prized off with a credit card or similar..

I advise you do it,

I advise you do it like this :

1) Clean the car with hot soapy water to make sure there is no grit which can scratch paint when you are touching it

2)heat the badge's with hair dryer to weaken glue

3)if weak enough you can remove the badge with your fingers, if not try sliding some dental floss behind to remove it

4)Give area a wash with boiling water to remove more glue

5)t cut the area where badge was again to get rid of any glues (might be worth doing the whole panel/ car at the same time if you need too)

6)Wash the panel again with hot soapy water


7)dry it off, and give it a good polish and wax to restore the protection on the paint

Concur with what Coyle's described. I used hot soapy water (also on a hot sunny day) and a length of dental floss to prize them off. Then some soapy water to remove the remains of the sticky padding and T-Cut to remove any shadowing left by the letters (this also fades over time of course)

I am a complete noob when it comes to cars, but I used some fishing wire to prize the logos off, followed by credit card to remove the remainder of the sticky crap, and then finished with tcut. Job done, and it looks great.

ive been looking to do this, but i've got the phase 2 one with the round fiat badge at the back in the middle. I've been told this has two pegs sticking into the body. so i mite see how much my mates mate can spray it for me . i think it would look much better without the round badge!

im a phase 2 aswell but am gonna leave that for now.
i need a bit of sprayin at sum time so will do it then me finks

oh and thanks guys ure advise will be put to use wen it gets bit warmer out as hopefully ill park in sun for a few hours to make it easyer bein black should cum off easy then.

No. You have to take out the 4 torxbolts. Go behind the bumper and pry the grille loose (probably brake a few clips) and unbolt the badge.
You'll end up with a hideous plastic plate though.
