Hi, this is my first time here. I have a 97 20vT that keeps killing batteries. I was told it was the alternator, so I changed that and brought a new battery, now 2 weeks later, dead again! I haven't been using the alarm so I don't think thats the problem. Does anyone know of any faults with these cars that could explain it?

get a multimeter.
put it accross the battery terminals with everything switched off
its should show a steady voltage,if it fluctuates somthing is draining the battery
when you say after 2 weeks,is this with daily use or sitting

okay so its either a fdrain or a charging issue.
so do as above but also.....
test the volts with the engine running
and again engine running but also with lights, stereo, blower etc on ot check the volts under load
