Whats the best way to de-badge the rear of my car so people dont know the true exhilariting power of my 1.2. Plus it looks good!

i used a credit card then petrol to get the glue off then tcut to faid the paint back to match the rest

plain hot water, let the kettle boil cool for a sec then pour generously! gently pulled the badhges offwith my fingers and luckily all the glue came with!

great, will the colour differnce be noticable underneath on a 1999 car? cheers lads

what colour is your car russ? different colours have a different effect - red can be a problem for fading, as can yellow, nothing a bit of t-cut can't sort out though ;)

Ah-ha now you can help me there- its that love it or hate it, not dark blue not light blue but in the middle blue! dont know the proper name though

have no idea what that colour is!

i had no problems with my Heraldic (dark) blue when i took mine off on friday, quick clean and its pretty damn good. thats on a 99 so you might be able to get away with it. but as said, t-cut should sort the problem if there is any

I would love to know what the name of the feckin colour is, heraldic is the almost royal blue isnt it? mines between that n the sky bluey colour Its common I see it on a lot of MK2's and fiat coupes

Russ on your boot lid theres a badge that should tell you the colour of your paint finish ;)

this is the colour
not my car though

what is it

arghh!

My car is currently otherwise engaged so I cant check it~!

i just pointed a hair dryer at the badges until they peeled off, then cleaned off glue with autoglym tar remover

I used a hair dryer to soften the glue behind the badges then used a flat steel ruler with masking tape over to not scratch the paint. You could improvise and use something else.

Then i peeled the sticky glue off with my fingers.

What stayed on i used White Spirit.

Total Time Taken.

10mins Top. That also includes fitting some shiny new badges.

RE:

I used dental floss, by sliding behind the badges and then slowly moving up and down from one end to the other.
I then T-Cut the rest, now no one can tell where the badges once were.
Also took about 10 mins, if that for all four.
Got the front proffesionally done as bolt going through the grill.
One of the best mods to do.
