Hi,

Does anyone know what size LED's are needed to replace the ones on the central switch assembly on a brava ?? They are the ones that illuminate the switches at night (green) and the ones that indicate that the switch is on ie Heated rear windscreen (orange.

Thanks

These are probably surface mounted (SMD) leds which are tiny and soldered onto a bit of PCB. are you sure the LED's are dead - (its hard to kill led's unless physically damaged or fed without a current limiting resistor, which is usually in the switch) ? - its more likely a wiring problem..

It is not that any are dead. I am adding front fogs, and the switch assembly that I have does not have the fog light switch, so I have aquired the switch, but I need to add the leds to the PCB board behind the switch. The other option is to buy the whole switch assembly, but I cannot afford to do this at the moment

3mm green Led for the symbol.

5mm Led for the bit the lights up to say they are on.

You could try picking one up from a scrapyard. I was going to get one as mine doesn't have aircon and I was going to use the aircon button to arm my nitrous system. Once I worked out how complicated the wiring was behind it all though I gave up and fitted the switch nearer the mirror adjusters on the centre console.

@Dan

How much did you pay for NOS Kit and where did you buy it from if you don't mind me asking.

Thinking of one my self for my HGT with about 75bhp increase.

Its either that or a supercharger but not sure which to go for.

I bought mine on ebay after much research. I then replaced a few critical pieces and fitted the system myself. It started out very daunting but byt the end of it all I couldn't believe how easy it was.

I wouldn't touch anything other than a Highpower systems (or Wizard of NOS as they also call themselves) kit. And if you want to go above 50bhp I highly recommend a progressive controller computer to manage the feed in and build up of nitrous rather than a sudden hit.

Take a look at www.noswizard.com for prices and details of the new stuff then you could try hunting for a second hand kit if funds are a bit tight.

Also checkout the forums on there. Everyone is really helpful and all the guys that work at highpower are regularly on the forum. I'm on there as dan.brown as well.

Doh edit:

My kit was about £800 and I have spent about an extra £200 on it but its way over the top of a normal nitrous kit.

You could go for a fixed hit 50bhp kit for around £450-£500 quid I think.
