Bought a new piece of dash trim for the girlfriends car.

Removed the old one no problem, but am having a real problem getting the new one in.

Is there a special trick to getting it to clip in? It's the correct shape and everything and the clips are in the correct place but I can only get it sort of halfway in.

Lol - sorry, I should have said, it's the dash vent, the piece that always goes, right near the windscreen.

hope this helps.i did my vent piece with my friend that works for fiat.you must push it very firmly down from each corner to the middle.you can also do it from left to right or right to left witch ever is easiest for you.it must be firm.it will go in.mine has been fine ever since.i know this method works as my friend has done lots of them, good luck (y)

i put a bit of wd40 on each clip just so it goes in a little easier; however needs quite a bit of force!

Have you checked that the old trim which broke off isn't still in the clip ?
Incidentally, I fixed ours with a 10p trim clip, which doesn't look out of place.
