General Dash Vent Trim (again)

2nd Grande Punto and the second time this has happened :bang:

Wasn't covered under 3rd year warranty in my last car but this one is in its 2nd year. Will it be covered? Got it booked into the dealer for Tuesday.

Under manufacturers warranty yes it is covered

yeah this is what I thought but I suppose it depends if its thought of as trim or a part of the heating system...

Mine was replaced under 2nd year warranty, they had them in stock and done it straight away, no problem since.

Was it replaced within the last year? If so replacement parts as usually guaranteed for a year so you should have a good case for it getting sorted for free.

I made this one last by not using the heater. Starting to lift in the sun now . If its still happening on 09 cars then its a waste of money getting a new one for it to go again.

Mines isn't really bad yet but it won't click down and I know from previous experience it only gets worse.

you can push your fingers in the gap between the dash and vent, looks terrible, gets worse in the winter when heater is on windscreen demist.

Eh? I wish mine was like that! I'm on my second one now and it's properly popped up so the clips and foamy bits are visable. Upgrading to a GP Sporting in a couple of days so that is no longer a concern.

I'll try and get a pic up for the interest

ahh I see looks quite nasty. Think my 06 one when I had it was like that since I picked it up didn't bother me .

Yeah mine pops out when it have the fan on full blast, that's how its sitting when I've clicked it back in.
Not really bothered it how it gets fixed (new trim, sealant or both) as long as it stays down!
