hey, the light behind my dials is very dim, i looked on the guide but theres nothing to tell me what to do, i assume a bulb has gone, how do i fix it or will it be somthing else

thanks

Usually when a bulb goes, the part where the bulb has gone is dim and the rest of the dash is well lighten. Is the dim place only on 1 side, or the whole dash?
Also a stupid 1 (dont get insulted), but did U check the dim wheel near the dash?
If its OK, or U dont have it, U should follow this
http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk/fix-a-bravo.htm#interior - Dash Bulb Replacement
and replace the bulbs.

whats the dim wheel?? it just seems dim all over, not in one particular area, its not like i cant see it at all its just dimmer than it usually is

i'm sorry, but am i allowed to be a little amused at this? Please:D

On the dash, left and right are some wheels. One has numbers on it - its for adjusting the headlights, and on the opposite there is a wheel whit a white stripe on it, when U turn it the dials go dimmer (the dim wheel-its called like this in my country). If U dont have the wheel, then U dont have the dim option. So I think its the bulb/s.

oooh thats little wheel, i never touch it, i think its always on 3, is that a good or a bad thing...
and yes mr anon you can be amused i think i am being blonde

The wheel whit numbers is for adjusting the head lights UP and DOWN, example: when U drive whit 5 people in the car and a full boot, U put them on 3. When U drive alone, or whit 2 people U should put them on 0. The other wheel (the 1 whit the little white stripe) is for dimming the light on the dash, the wheel is positioned on the other side of the wheel whit the numbers. Turning the dim wheel - 1 whit the stripe, U adjust the density of the light on the dash.

The wheel looks like this.

If U dont have it, probably a bulb has gone.

the one with the numbes is for the headlight height the more people u have in the car the higher you put the number!

move the one on the other side and the dash lights will get brighter/dimmer

;) have you ever read the handbook that comes with the car lol!

ok its a bulb i dont have the switch with no numbers on it, and its looks far far far to complicated to change so i will wait until i cant see much on there...another question coz i need to ask it...i got my cam belt done at 55000 i am now at 92000 do i need to do it with in the next 3000 to be on the safe side,?? and what the cost of it roughly as i am going to get my dad to pay the garage i bought the car at did it last time so i didnt have to pay thats why i am not sure of costs

I'm sure all Bravo's have that switch as the Bravo S does. Well the ones in the scrappy do. I never owned anything less than a HLX but am certain its there.

Have you looked on your dash towards the right hand side of the steering wheel.

i got a 1.8hlx, and unless the switch is hiding, or i have gone selectivly blind i havnt got one

@Joske - Yes, she has the switch for the head lights, but doesent have the dim switch. I also dont have it on my JTD SX

i am probably looking really daft now, yes i have the switch with the numbers on it, its on the left, behind my indicator stick, but there is no switch like the one in the pic above on the right and my dash lights are dimmer than usual
