Technical Dash LCD corrupt

Howdy all
The dash lcd in my daughters fiat500 is corrupt
Seems common enough but i was wondering if MES can read the mileage as the display is now just jibberish
My understanding is that if i buy a replacement it needs to have lower miles

As the car is a uk import in to Ireland the clock is in mph so might as well change it for a kph one ?
Her 500 is a 2015 and i seen a full digital unit from a 2016 so would it wofk or do i need to remove the old one to get part numbers first ?

Checked the wiring from the boot lid to see if there were any issues as I had seen a couple of reports of frayed cables affecting the dash
did no see any issues and the brake lights are working ok

Removed and cleaned the earth strap & even though it looked in good condition I added another strap just in case
Checked the display and sometimes it does not have anything at all on it and sometimes it looks like the piccy above
the Battery ( EFB) is the original 10 year old and my analyzer is giving mixed results
Tested as EFB it says it is good but tested as EN it says replace
I removed it and charged it up as the car had not been used in 2 weeks
Still no joy so removed the clock's to check the part number
I was going to just replace the little display as it can be got on ali for around €85 but as I was going to be removing the clocks I thought why not replace with a KPH version instead of the MPH one that is in it as it is an import in to Ireland
I got a full digi screen on ebay and I have bought a Licence for MES and a Vlinker dongle to program it when it arrives hopefully all will work out ok

Just by way of an update
The replacement TFT speedo arrived
The date on the sticker on the back was 2015 same as my daughters fiat 500
Installed the speedo and it worked but had 2 warning lamps on one was for parking sensors and the other was for gearbox malfunction

The Vlinker MC+ bluetooth dongle did not work with MES so I ordered a USB Vlinker FS and it worked fine
Readjusted the Mileage and then did a proxy alignment and happy to say the warning lights now gone and mileage stopped flashing
