Has anyone else had trouble pairing dash commander app on an iphone to a wifi obd2 dongle on a 2005 2.8Jtd ducato? I have bought the dongle from amazon and it even shows the dash commander app in use on there own pictures, trouble is I can't get my ducato to link to my phone! Initially thought I'd got a Duff wifi dongle as I tried 2 other obd apps without any luck! Tried the dongle on the works tranny and it connects to the dash commander app straight away! Is there something I'm not doing? Many thanks in advance

Ok, finally got things to connect but now the info displayed in the app is all cock a hoop! It says the revs are at 197rpm on tick over and around 500rpm whilst driving. Speed is registering at 157mph at around 5mph! Is an 05 2.8jtd obd2 compliant?

Not obd compliant you can use alfaobd on android/windows phone.

Before you give up, why not try a different OBD2 App. I downloaded the free bit to my android phone from Torque lite or Torque pro (now deleted). Only used it for a project on the car. Worked a treat.. Never tried it on the Ducato. Got the cheapest bluetooth dongle off the net.(y)

Torque provides the same junk info, the alfaobd demo works fine.

Tried 2 other free apps and they just did the same with the rpm and speed! Another problem is I'm on iPhone not android and don't see me changing as I use Apple throughout my day for meetings/ appointments etc. Tried the dongle and dash command on the 65 plate tranny at work and it worked a treat giving loads of info as stated it would on the app page. Speed, rpm, various temps, boost, torque, fuel stats etc all in real time plus graphs with data gathered over time etc. Really very good if it works on your vehicle.
