hey guys,

Im trying to wire some LED's so that they turn on when i turn the headlights on so i've decided the best way would be to put it onto the back of the fog light button? (Suggest other ways if you feel) So i was wondering out of the bunch of wires oming out of the back which do you know is the fog lights?

Many thanks

Edd

most people wire them in to the cigarette lighter,so just wire them to that and as it is a constant feed of power when the ignition is on you will need a switch to turn them on and off
also u can wire them to the exterior lights as some poeple have does this.this just means that whenever u switch your lights on your leds will also come on.

Yeah you just use the + for the actual lighter.

So leme get this straight - there are three wires coming from the back of the lighter, Red, black and yellow and green. Which two should i connect to the red and black of the led's?

Thanks dude.

Thanks alot for that mate, if the cig ligther thing doesnt work i will certainly use this! thanks!

WE discussed cigar lighter wiring on another thread recently. We concluded that it was most probable that black was earth, red was 12V feed and the other wire was for the light.

So....

LED black to lighter black (earth/0V)

LED red to lighter red for LEDs on whenever the cigar lighter is powered (probably all the time).....

or LED red to cigar lighter yellow/green for LEDs on when lights are on.
