Technical dash board stopped work..... urgent help

i have just got in the car this morning to find that the dashboard does not work at all. on start up the air bag light flashes and goes out and thats it.

any suggestions on where to start looking?


its a 2005 1.4 active aircon 5 door if that helps

A fuse I guess. Had you done anything knocked anything before hand?

i didnt knock anything that i know of, the only thing i did out of the ordinary was the night before i activated the "follow me home" lights for 60 seconds instead of 30, i have been using it through the day and the clock said 2:33 all day apart from when i came home it flicked to 0:00 and then a very brief flicker from al the lights, and it now says checking.

Does the car start? Might be worth checking the battery.

Is this the same car that has had problems with the body computer?

sorry, yes it is the instrument cluster. the car starts, drives, everything works. but the instruments don't do anything. even the "follow me home" lights work. i am going to try taking it apart and re seating all the connectors. then if i have no joy i think my local dealer will be having a visit from me. still this is the first fault on the car other than a blown lamp.

just thought i would add an update, i sent the instrument panel to BBA-REMAN which is in rochester, cost me £10 to send it to them and another £10 to have it couriered back and then a sum of £120.80 to have it fixed. therefore a total of £140.80 to have my own cluster fixed and has a lifetime warranty on it.

i sent it on tuesday and got it back today all working properly.

so i would recommend BBA-REMAN they have done an excellent job
