General Darkwave Black - Help

Hi all, I ordered a Panda on the weekend (see my earlier post "a bit shocked"). I ordered it in darkwave black, it didn't click at the time that its a "solid" colour. I dont suppose any one has a Panda in this colour to put my mind at ease. I have been on the Fiat website but there images are not the best. I have done a search on line but all the images I tend to see are of the 4X4 or 100BHP edition and im unsure if this is the same tone of black.

No idea... I'm in the same boat as you, waiting on my black panda to arrive without having seen one in that colour. I was under the impression that its just black.

Definitely just flat black, the metallics are the more expensive option.

Looks go though and personally think metallic blacks always look a bit grubby.

Just checked the picture and all though its not metallic it looks very nice. Hopefully all will be ok.

darkwave black is a solid colour like the solid tiziano red i got,the darkwave black looks excellent with the panda,if you take it over to italy you should get some respect as the italians think people who drive black cars are the mafia,according to my two italian sister in laws. the tiziano red and darkwave black are not base colours i think fiat quoted approx 240 pounds extra for these colours and 360 pounds extra for the metallic colours..

Solid colours are a hell of a lot easier to touch up when the inevetable happens. Looked at the pics posted here and think it looks really good sure youre other half will love it!

Metallics are far better at hiding touch ups but flat paint is better at hiding resprays.

Had a call this afternoon and tomorrows collection has been cancelled till anytime between Thursday and Saturday

I have now been told it could be any time upto and including the 15/03/07.

Apparentley there is a back log with registering the car as this is the busiest time of the year for buying a new car.

I want to play with my new toy, I mean the wife wants her new car

Sounds like an excuse, they can go to the local licensing office and do it on the spot, the only delay is how long the queue is.

I've had my Panda 100HP in Darkwave Black for a week now and I have to say it looks great in the black, so I think its a good colour to have the car in.
