I have a Daiichi Radio in a Fiat Qubo (Nov 2017). It is the worst pile of wotsit I have ever known in a radio. It takes forever to come on (15secs +) and despite there being no satnav, it lists warnings about not doing stuff to endanger myself or other road users blah-blah-blah. SO unnecessary.

I've contacted the makers and had a friendly discussion with their staff but reached no satisfactory conclusion, they just ended the discussion as we were getting nowhere.
New car yesterday (tad over 3 years old), still the same crappy head unit so I hold out NO hope for improvement.

Can anyone suggest how to circumvent the boot-time?
Can someone suggest a good replacement radio with CD player (sat nav not wanted, I have a TomTom that is brill) and I think it's a 2-DIN space available but I'd like to keep the steering wheel controls if possible.

Thanks,

R-V-M (Driven to desperation!)
