General :D Fitted some new bits to UT...

Just fitted these half leather seats off a South African Uno turbo which i got on Ebay. And a before and after pic of my engine bay with all the bling bits fitted. :D
Still got LOADS left to do lol seems like the list of jobs to do is never gona end.

By the way i was wondering if anybody knows how to remove the head rests from uno seats as i still have my original seats and was thinking of fitting the head rests to the rear seats. But fooook knows how to remove them, can they even be removed at all??? And what should i use to restore the leather on the seats? Any suggestions???

I saw those seats on Ebay, but couldn't bid as I'm not home until October  Glad they've got a nice new home in your UT Fro$ty (y)

For the leather, you can buy leather renovating kits. Leather needs hide food else it dries out over time. Might even be worth trying a place that sells leather furniture? I seem to remember a leather specialist called Connolly, or something like that. Maybe do a search on the 'net?

The headrests can be removed, but I can't remember how. There's some threads on here about it, so do a FF search.

Seats look really good by the way (y)

LOL Dont worry mate i'm sure the mk1 GranKid will finish it off for you one day if you get too old and wrinkly to do the job yourself... hehe :p

You cheeky git!! lol

I actually spoke to Tim an old friend (who started of the uno thing near me years ago) this morning about my uno, his old uno's etc. I live an hour and a half away from where its kept so working on it isnt easy. There are some things that i need to do which are a pain in the ass. I need to build a new exhaust system, and fit lambda sensor into a new downpipe. I need to get my mk1 inlet machined to take the punto injctors plus a bespoke fuel rail to make them fit. I then need to get my punto bottom pulley machined to take the 'v' belt style drive the uno uses (punto uses toothed belt) or use mk1 pulley and get the outer ring of the punto pulley machined to fit. On top of that i need to fit the rest of the pgt management!

Oh not forgetting to get it sprayed either ;)

So you see there are somethings i cant do from 60miles away and somethings i couldn't do even if i wasn't! :(

If you or anyone knows of somone that could knock me up a fuel rail and has a lathe to machine my pulley please dont hold your peace!

I like those seats mate, makes me wish i still had an interior looking at them!

until i have got the cash to buy a new T28 Roller bearing Turbo :D

This is a little to big turbo for the Uno, I got one on mine, and I get full boost around 4500-5000rpm. Go for a Ball Bearing T25.

you can also see that the turbo seals have been blown in the other pic.

Have you used a restrictor on the oil feed?

Looking lovely frosty

I remeber JAJA from TC saying that yours kept up with his on the way to Weston Wheels 05?

I know JAJA's MK1 is damm fast!

I remeber seeing it kill 2 Vauxhall REDTOP 16V engines (One in a MK3 Astra, the other in a Corasa B)

:) Thanks for all the comments people...

Pottleflump thankyou for that link very much appreciated!

Tom it takes a cheeky git like you to know another mate :p hehe and fair play looks like you got a lot of work cut out there...

Chris i got all the bling bling on ebay for a good price  so dont know how much it would cost to get things done but i can imagine it would be quite dear and silly money to be honest unless you know people that can do it cheap. Better off using the money for more serious mods rather than bling if ya ask me!!! I know someone who does chroming for a living, i'll find out some prices for ya a.s.a.p mate.

Jokke try telling that to Dunc :D hehe he wants to get a T34 on his uno!!!! But i think i will stick with my hybrid T25 once i get it rebuilt as it was well suited to the engine as i want a fast road going car not a racing car!!! T28 would be good for serious top end speeds of up to 150mph!!!

Chas sorry but not a chance in hell mate lol :p you can sit in them if you like when i bring it down to Ace. Should be there this week but later than usual as i have some work conferance thing in london at 5pm!!! But you aint gona be there this week anyway are ya mate so i'll probably see ya in october sometime. Hope your having a good time in the states!!

Biz trust me Jajas car IS seriously Rapid and i've seen "THAT VID" too mate and all i can say is i'll never forget these words "LATER RUDE BWOI...LATER..." lol
But at weston the uno which impressed me most was Drues mark 2 (used to be owned by Timmy aka Fingerz of TC) cos it was just so nice and immaculate and seriously fast as well. And believe me it wasnt easy keeping up with them two especially with oil spitting out of a bonnet louvre on my windscreen at 140mph due to a worn dipstick rubber!!! Of all things can you believe that mate? lol

Oh well, if I didn't ask I wouldn't find out :p Be cool to sit in them when I come down to the October meet (y)

States is fun, but I'm stuck in the Eastern Arizona desert at the moment in the middle of nowhere. It's a bit quiet! Back to California next week so should see a bit more action then

Looking forward to seeing all you forumers at the October meet (y)
