my friend has CVT transmission.
filled 2L according to book and missing...
now i see in the forum that more and more people are asking the same...
some filled 3.5 Liters.

the oil is TUTELA CVT NG

if you have picture of the measurement indicator please post. maybe we are mistaking.

thx,
in cold I can see the oil but it is not between the borders. in hot, when running, it is more visible but but still not between the borders.

can you post a picture of the oil in between the borders?

LOL

but really... everyone thinks that CVT needs only 2 Liters... while many thinks that 3.6 Liters needed.

i am using only 2 liters and i am very concern about it running on low oil.

EDIT: in HAYNES manual it says 1.8L. maybe something changed in MK2B?

the one i have has an oil cooler to the side of the radiator did early ones have this? dont know but 2 liters sounds not a lot
i woudnt run it till i knew it was right
havent checked my dipstick so cant help here im afraid
dave can be depended on to be right though

thx!
i am driving on 2Liters now... hope that i am not doing any wrong to the gear.
2 more liters will be added next week... :(

didn't think it was important. everyone said 2liters.now everyone says 4...

i always equate fluids to blood
you cant run round on 4 pints of blood as it damages things
therefore you cant run round on low cvt fluids
just trying to help my friend:)

i must have missed a few posts i didn't see anyone say 2. 2 is too little 4 is too much so don't stick another 2 in stick another one in then run till hot, check and top up to correct level.

move gear stick from p to d slowly a few times before checking

the problem is getting the oil! 75$ for 2 liters!
i bought in a remote city in half of the price!

found a dealership and bought 2L.
filled 0.5 liters and it is in the range.

checked in N not P, when the car was worm.

thanx!
