General Custom units changing

Hello all,
I’ve had a 21 reg TIPO cross since August. Four times now, the display has reset the fuel range and total odometer reading from miles to km on its own. It’s always when I’ve parked in the same area of the waitrose car park in Sunningdale which is next to the station. Switch off the ignition showing miles, and when started again it’s in km.
I think it must be an electrical issue from the level crossing signals but I’d welcome thoughts.

I’ve no idea. I just know it’s only when parking here on a Saturday morning that the display changes.its not done it anywhere else.

That line is 3rd rail electric and there will be a chance of flash over when the trains
start from the Station or cross the road as it will have gaps in the power rail there,
though I have never come across it changing the instruments, you never know,
if it was doing it in other places I would suspect the car battery or ignition switch.
can you hear and odd noises on the car radio when parked there.

The dab occasionally looses signal at the crossing but that’s about it. Curious isn’t it!

It's still under warranty so I would think about at least flagging it to the dealer
it may be a known fault or get to annoying to live with.

I will do. So far it’s 4 times in 7months so more a quirk.

Thanks! My godmother had it new as a Christmas present and gave it to me in 2006.

I used to get the same on my 500X. Did it a few times. Sometimes my actual mileage would change from miles to Km.Other times mpg to km.I never worked out why it did it. Never had the problem after having a new battery fitted under warranty at 13 months. Battery had a dead cell so wether it was something to do with it or just a typical Italian electrical issue not sure?

My Tipo has never done it, but the Parents 2020 500x has done this several times. I kept blaming Mum for pressing random buttons, but I'm now thinking of a way to apologise
