just got my new camera and i've been told to save to the mem card using RAW format. also got CS2 (the pro's choice apparently) and it won't let me open these files! PSP X2 does but CS2 doesn't!

is there something i don't know?

RAW files are different depending on manufacturer. The CD that came with your camera will 99% have a RAW developer with it, which will do most of the things you want to use CS2 for. You can probably download a plugin for CS2 though, I use CS3 which uses Adobe Bridge for the Raw development, so I am not 100%.

well CS2 has just updated so may work.

stumac - have you used CS2 before? if so what are the benefits of CS3 over CS2?

thanks vtec for you input!

I have never really used CS2. I played with it for a few minutes on someone elses PC but that is all.

i have CS2 at the mo and theres really very little difference to CS3. I had CS3 on my laptop before reinstalling the OS and never bothered putting it back on.,

I didnt think there was much difference, but CS3 was a gift o not gonna complain! I got Adobe Bridge with it which is nice aswell. I think CS3 has more features, and is faster, when doing heavy photo processing and manipulation.
