I've always wondered a few things about the cruise control system - anyone know anything about how cruise work please?
* When I reduce the speed rapidly it feels as if the brake is being applied - is this so, and if so do the brake lights come on?
* Also what would happen if I tried to make the car go up and impossible gradient, i.e. by leaving it on cruise in too high a gear and then going uphill? I'm curious as to how hard the system will rev the engine before giving up.
Sorry for the daft questions, I pulled off a slip road the other day and went to disable the cruise control and turned the lights on instead without realizing!
I just like to know how stuff like this works. Thanks.
