Can anyone please advice on best way forward as i would like to add cruise contol to my van and is it just a matter of fitting the stalk and coding. If so does anybody have any links of where i can buy the cruise control from.

Thank you.

My Ducato (2008-3 litre) is fitted with an aftermarket cruise control which was fitted by the Fiat distributors and it is pretty useless. It keeps 'hunting' all the time and I was told by the distributors that it was not unusual for this to occur, but they couldn't tell me why it was so and that there was nothing they could do to remedy the situation.
As a result, I just don't use it.
I hope you have some joy with yours.

I had Rhino installs supply and fit to my 62 plate euro 5,
Cracking job, he came down from Preston I think he's located, to Watford on a freezing December day, had to make a new wiring loom to connect it to the speed pulse as euro 5 wiring is different to euro 4.
Two memory function which I have at 50 and 60, never had an issue,

About 10 years ago I had a Vauxhall Vectra 2ltr CDi which I wanted to retrofit cruise control. People, including Vauxhall said it couldn't be done. I then found on the Vauxhall forum that as long as I had a clutch switch fitted, which I had, then all I needed to do was replace my standard indicator stalk with one fitted with the cruise control. I was supplied with a part number and the price which was £37. I fitted it and low and behold it worked perfectly.

The logic given was that with building mass produced cars, all the ECU's and other parts are all the same but if that particular model wasn't to have cruise, they simply fitted a standard stalk, it all made very good sense to me.

I just wonder, that if a model like a 3ltr X250 which can be specified with cruise can be retro fitted in the same way.
