looool funny guy. yer i no, it isnt looking good, but i havnt got the letter thru 4 that speeding incident so thats good. but this crash! was driving along a main road at 15mph she just pulled out looking the otherway. and i bust my b**ls to save up and pay for this car and had it fully serviced etc. i wud happily say yer i deserve it if i had been drving like an idiot, but i actually hadnt!

Alternatively you could always buy it back from the insurance company, the major damage is in the wing and bumper, if the chassis isn't bent just repair it with the payout (parts second hand from the people on here) and keep the change.

Nobody wants to drive or even buy a Category D or C insurance loss - Take that into account as well for the resale value (£200 max I suggest, lol)

hi there maxim i believe that if it is a catagory c or d then it wont show when yo sell the car as long as it is taken for a vic test at vosa. bout 50 quid but dont quote me on this but if you live local then i could help repare it with you as i repaired mine after spinning at 80mph on black ice, going up a kerb backwards and then side swiping a wall. the car is now fully repaired for about £600 with beilstien shox all round. good luck. stu

oh and i forgot to add that it could be as cheap as bout 60 quid to repair from the scrappies or ebay. does it still drive the same and i have a passengers head light doing nothing as i has converted to marea pollys. let me know how it goes and i wont sell it if you want it. regards stu

yer...to be honest im really not sure wots going on at the moment, it happend on tuesday i reported it and had done everyhting i could within 30 mins of it happening, but the otherparty still hasnt reported it. ive got all details etc so thers no problem there.
only thing is i paid £950 for it, have had it fully services new breaks etc and spent bout £400 on servicing. now if they offer me £700 im gona cry!! but say they allow me to buy the car off them for about £200, then that leaves me £500 to spend fixing it and then im back wer i started. because i will hav a fully serviced car dont really want to lose out. now what needs replacing is new bumper, new arch area, bonnet and headlight, the wheel is untounched and im 90% sure that nothing else is buggered. so it really depends wot the insurance says, best that can happen is they gime £900 and say keep the car now im dreaming lol.
btw im in North london doubt thats local to you!

not really mate but i would be tempted to try a cash deal with the third party if they look like they have money and need to keep there no claims or a cleen licence. might be worth a try. i paid £20 for my wing and £20 for the bumper, headlights are bout £15 i think and if you need to save money then i would put a thick cloth or something round the jaws of a clamp or pliers and bend the bonnet back as they are bout £70 from a scrap yard. i live in kent so unless you could come down hear im afraid your on your own mate. good luck

yer i wud have done if i cud... i mean 1st reaction was to flip out, which i did :S went absolutly mental. 2nd of all they ddnt look like they had the money 2 spare, and were foreign cud just about spk english so was unlikely that they wud av a clue wot no claims was. but i shall see. if i can get the parts il search around but its the respray that i rekon will cost but if i can find an ink black brava or bravo il be onto a winner.

yer, was the 1st thing she pulled out was her certificate. and i have been on the fone to their insurers told them about the situation got their full adress and everything i cud possibly extract. jus want a courtesy car now! but being 3rd party fire and theft doubt it. u rekon worth try?
mate told me bout his uncle who 'rented sisters car with receipts and everything' then claimed it back when it went to the final payment? any1 heard of schemes like this?
