oh the bracket! yes that makes sense (see pic below).
i doubt you can buy the bracket seperately (it'll be on special order if dealer does still supply it), so a scrapyard part may be your best bet (take whole sensor)
the bracket is important because the positon of the sensor is critical to its signal. you must have a secure & stable bracket and the gap must be adjusted carefully (using a feeler gauge) before tightening the single bolt up on the bracket.
i'd want to know how the bracket was damaged in the first place. they dont get damaged by magic. i know how easy it is to brake stuff, but i always admit to it and pay for the parts.
