Technical Crank pulley nut

Hi All,

My socket set only goes up to 32mm, and the nut on the crank pulley appears to be bigger than this!

Can anyone tell me the correct size socket to get? I don't have calipers to measure it myself unfortunately, and I'm not getting very far with a plumbers wrench!

Hi ,
I'm not sure , whatare you trying to do ? , as belt changes only need the 3 x m6 ( 10 head) bolts removing.
I changed the crank in my 2.0 ie years ago and I don't recall it being THAT BIG..!!?? ,

This is on the SOHC engine, I'm changing the Cam belt. Its got one big nut on this engine and the pulley locates on a Woodruff key.

Suggest you measure it yourself. Not difficult if you have already found out that your 32mm socket is not big enough.

Hi there, i think the crank nut is 36mm?
